My story

Atlas is a big-hearted boy with a gentle soul and a love for the simple things in life: a good rawhide, a game of chase with the flirt pole and a quiet moment on a bench next to someone he loves. He’s got his basics down — sit, shake, and down — and he’s always happy to show them off, especially for a treat or two. Atlas has enjoyed successful playdates with other dogs and is wonderfully affectionate with people. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention, but once you know him, it’s hard to imagine your world without him. Atlas has been with us a little longer than most, but he's never let that dampen his spirit. He still greets each day with hope and each person with kindness. Whether he’s hopping up beside you to share a seat or just leaning in for pets, Atlas makes connection feel effortless. He’s been waiting patiently for his furever home, where he can be the devoted, playful, loving companion he truly is. Atlas is ready to share his world, so come meet him today. Maybe it's time your world included him. A team member says, "Atlas loves nothing more than a good rawhide to chew on and a human by his side. He has a collection of rawhides on the ledge outside his room, and he selects the one he wants to take on his walk. He'll make a beeline for the nearest bench and wants you to sit beside him and pet him. He could stay like that all day. He's also a smart guy who knows commands like sit, shake and down, and he loves showing off what he knows for treats."
