My story

Heron Pentridge is a little survivor with a ton of personality. He is about 3 years old, and he will likely stay quite petite—like a charming perma-kitten look! He loves all people. He loves all cats. He loves all toys. He's a super curious kitty who enjoys getting into things. Not easily deterred by complicated puzzles, this little adventurer loves figuring things out and getting into all the spots around the house. About the only thing he doesn't like is to be alone—so he should go to a home with at least one other friendly pet. Heron is a total sweetheart! It is impossible not to love this little guy. You look at his face and just know that he's living his best life. Heron wants to make sure that you know he wants to snuggle—with you, with soft beds, with other pets, with the warm spot. He was born with a urethral stricture that required surgical repair so he could live pain-free. He had a prepubic urethrostomy last year, a pretty rare procedure that is less known than the more commonly performed perineal urethrostomy. He currently has free roam of the foster home, and it has helped to have several litter boxes so he can keep up his good litter habits. He currently leaks a little urine when he is asleep or when he jumps; the vet was optimistic that this would lessen as his body continues to heal. It's no big deal to us - we use pee pads to help and Heron is just so loving and perfect that we make it work. Heron is on a special diet to make sure his plumbing stays in tip-top shape—he's being fostered in a multi-cat household, and this smarty pants devised his own system for eating the right food in his crate. He's a little more work than some cats, but he is so well worth it, and he will pay it back with the funniest hijinx and sweetest love possible. Heron Pentridge is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and is litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Heron Pentridge, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
