My story

Are you in search of a loyal and affectionate companion? Look no further than Moss, the lovable 6-8 month old rottweiler who is eager to find his forever home. Despite a challenging start to life, Moss has shown tremendous resilience and is now on a journey to become the best version of himself. However, he needs someone with experience and a touch of skill to unlock his full potential. Moss may have been neglected in the past, but he is making great progress thanks to his weekly training classes and the dedication of his foster parents. They have provided him with structure, boundaries, discipline, and leadership, instilling in him the necessary skills to thrive in a loving home environment. With continued guidance, Moss has the potential to become a well-rounded and obedient ambassador for the breed. While Moss may not be the best fit for households with other dogs, he is still young and can be socialized properly under the right guidance. His initial wariness around certain people is simply due to his insecurities and youth, but once he warms up, his sweet and cuddly nature shines through. Moss loves most people and is eager to form a deep bond with his new family. In terms of training, Moss already knows basic obedience commands and walks well on a leash with the assistance of a training collar. However, additional training will undoubtedly benefit him and further strengthen the bond between him and his new owner. Furthermore, Moss is both potty and crate trained, making him a well-mannered and easy-to-care-for companion. Despite being the runt of his litter, Moss has a heart full of love and a spirit eager to grow. Currently weighing only 59 pounds, he still has some weight to gain to reach his ideal size. As he continues to mature, he will require a loving owner who can provide the necessary care and support to ensure his healthy development. If you are experienced with strong breeds and are looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Moss might just be the perfect match for you. With your guidance and love, he will blossom into a confident and well-behaved dog. Open your heart and home to Moss, and experience the joy and unconditional love that only a canine companion can provide. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to make a difference in Moss's life. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moss, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
