My story

Rex is a sweet Lab/Pitbull mix, born on 8/20/2020.  Rex is such a loving boy and lives for human affection!  He has been glued to his foster's hip since day 1 and is a cuddle bear any chance he gets.  He loves to snuggle in bed and enjoys getting under the covers.  He loves everyone he meets and has been very gentle with young children.   Rex is food motivated and that has worked well for training and introductions to new things.  He is extremely smart and has SO MUCH personality.  He is free to roam the house while his foster mom is at work and does not get in trouble.  Rex will give you all the kisses in the world if you let him, but he listens extremely well.   Here are a few of the things we love about Rex: Loves to give hugs and kisses!         Loves to snuggle Very gentle and tolerant (even let foster mom clean his ears and give him a bath) Knows lots of commands i.e. come, sit, shake, lay down, down and he’s working on stay Loves his toys, especially his balls and his ‘oinking’ pig Gets zoomies around the house and will spin in circles (short-lived, but HILARIOUS) Ready to snuggle again after energy burst Amazing on a leash Sporting his winning Lab/Pitbull charm, Rex adores kids and exudes near-perfection in every way, except for his little quirk of preferring to be the sole furry friend in the household. Other dogs tend to stir up some anxiety in Rex so he will need a fenced yard where he can hang out stress free. Let's brighten Rex's world by finding a loving family where his vibrant personality can truly blossom! Before applying to adopt this dog, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. The suggested adoption donation for Rex is $315.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.  We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs.  If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
