My story

Meet Ulani! Her name means cheerful or joyful, and this 2-year-old sweetheart truly lives up to it. Ulani is a wiggly, happy girl who greets each new day with a big smile and a tail that just can’t stop wagging. She’s already showing off her adorable personality in full force, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with her sunny spirit. Ulani is ready to join you on a lifetime of adventures—whether it’s walks around the neighborhood, weekend outings, or simply snuggling up at home, she’s happiest when she’s with her people. Come meet Ulani today and see for yourself why her name fits her so perfectly!Ulani would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet her!Ulani was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they said, `Ulani was such a fun pup to have for the day! She is smart and eager to learn. With just a bit of guidance, she did incredible on the leash and she has already mastered “sit”. She hopped right in my car with no hesitations. You can’t not smile when you are around her! We walked at Lowe’s (saw a few dogs from a distance and she was intrigued but no barking at all). She had a blast getting out some zoomies in my backyard then had a much deserved nap. She is such a happy girl and the family that gets her will be winning the lottery!`Ulani is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and ready for her forever home!Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter? They are oftentimes the dogs who stay in shelter care the longest and are chosen last due to appearance. Break the stigma and adopt a black dog today. Remember, black dogs are the best dogs. Their hair doesn`t show up on black clothing and their coats don`t appear as dirty as they may be. Will you be the lucky owner of a black shelter dog? Come down to KCPP to pick one out!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ulani, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
