My story

Meet Marley! This sweet, loving girl is looking for an adopter who will be patient with her in order to see her reach her full potential. Marley was originally found as a stray in Vail, AZ in February. After staying with her finder for a month, one of our longtime fosters took her in, but has not had luck finding her the right home yet. Marley is good with other dogs, but has shown that she can be protective of her human. Despite the protectiveness, we think Marley would do best in a home with at least one other dog that will respect her space. Given her background, this will help to ease any separation anxiety she has as she adjusts. In her foster home she can get rambunctious, but a short walk and a trip to the dog park helps get her energy out and releases any anxiety she might have. Because of her being territorial of her human and some separation anxiety, Marley would do best in a home where she is not left alone for too many hours at a time. Marley has also done well with the cat in her foster home – she has shown no sign of prey drive to harm. Her fosters think she would do well with children based on her temperament and playfulness, but as always we recommend supervision. Marley needs someone who can dedicate the time and willingness to continue to work with her and who will have patience for her through her initial adjustment period. Overall, she will love you forever if you treat her right! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Marley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
