My story

Meet Gunner—a handsome American Pit Bull Terrier with a sleek grey and white coat and a heart full of love. Gunner may have started life as a stray, but now he’s ready for the cozy life with a forever family who will adore him as much as he adores them. He’s a true companion dog who wants to be by your side, whether that’s cruising in the car, lounging on the couch, or just hanging out in the backyard. Gunner is smart, loyal, and eager to please. He’s fully potty trained, kennel trained, and knows commands like *sit, *stay, *come, and is working on *down. He’s easygoing on a leash—except when another dog is around (he’s still practicing his social manners)—but he’s overall a great walking buddy. He enjoys playtime with chew toys, cozy naps, and giving affectionate kisses to his favorite people. Gunner is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can be the center of your world. He’d do best as your only pet—no cats or other dogs, please. If you’re searching for a silly, snuggly, and deeply devoted best friend, Gunner just might be your perfect match. Gunner is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption.
