Introducing Patch! Happy Active Social Affectionate Playful Nature: Currently, Patch is having a blast playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He has been described as very playful yet submissive. He would thrive in a forever home where he can share his boundless energy with another dog or two. His playful antics are a testament to his joyful spirit. Compatibility with Cats & Children: Patch's interactions with cats are unknown, so a gradual introduction is recommended. He's proven to enjoy the company of people of all ages, but due to his size and exuberance, a home without young children would be the most suitable. Training: Patch is housebroken and is familiar with the command “Down.” He's currently in the process of learning additional cues such as sit and leave it with the use of hand signals and touch. Given his deafness, partial blindness, and lack of previous training, he requires a patient and consistent leader to help him flourish. Special Needs: Being deaf and partially blind, Patch will need a physical fence to ensure his safety. Despite these challenges, he is a special dog who adores his family and has been described by his foster family as "the happiest dog ever!" Likes & Dislikes: When Patch isn't claiming all the room on the bed or couch, he is eagerly seeking playtime with his family. He revels in the simple joys of snuggling, playing outside, indulging in ice cream treats, and, of course, hogging the bed. Patch's only dislike is when his family is away for extended periods. Medical/Health: To help manage his anxiety, he is on a generic form of Prozac. Patch has a "happy tail" that tends to break open—a testament to his uncontainable joy and enthusiasm. His vibrant personality shines through his expressive eyes, inviting you to embark on a journey of love and companionship. Patch is eager to become your loyal friend.
