This three-legged wonder came into our program last year, a semi-shy stray surviving on the tough streets of the Southwest side. But fate had something else in store for him, and our paths crossed in a moment of urgent need.   On Memorial Day weekend, a frantic call reached us, pleading for help for a cat whose paw was hanging off, tendons mangled from an unknown accident. Elvis faced a grim fate—no one was stepping in to alleviate his suffering. But where others saw despair, we saw hope. With determination and compassion, we leaped through hoops to bring Elvis into our care.   Elvis underwent a life-saving leg amputation surgery and embarked on a journey of healing. Through every setback and triumph, Elvis has shown remarkable resilience and unwavering spirit. While his past has left him a bit shy and wary, his heart bursts with joy at the sight of playthings.   Elvis is a true feline athlete, proving that four legs are not a prerequisite for agility and grace. With boundless energy and enthusiasm, he dashes and leaps, rivaling even his four-legged friends. His favorite pastime? Chasing his fellow felines, a sight to behold as he zips through his foster house with unmatched speed. He also loves his "fly" wand. When you take out the fly wand for play, Elvis will be crawling in your lap and leaping high up to catch it. You would think that it's Christmas with all of his excitement.    Elvis isn't just a cat; he's a connoisseur of companionship.
