My story

Hello, my name is Kendra. I am seeking my forever home. Might it be with you? I have lived with my foster parents since I traveled from Alabama to Illinois. When I came to AHF, I was very sick from a parasite. Fortunately, medicine has made me feel all better! If you saw me chase and wrestle with my foster doggy brother, you would never know I had been sick. I will have to continue taking my medicine until October. But enough about that. Let`s talk about having fun! I love playing with my foster dad and canine foster brother. My foster dad might be my favorite, but I love my foster mom too. I was a teensy bit skittish around her at first but have warmed up. Using a soft voice calms me when I`m unsure. I would love a forever home with a fenced yard. I am so amazing at chasing and catching the balls my foster dad and mom toss for me in the backyard. I am an expert at catching the balls in midair! I also love going on my daily one-mile walks. I do get excited when I see other animals. I enjoy food and treats and am very talkative when my foster mom is microwaving my food. I also love to squeaky talk with my foster dad when we are playing ball outside or when I want him to toss me squeaky toys inside the house. I love my squeaky toys! They make the same sound I make when I talk! Although my canine foster brother and I get along very well, my foster family thinks I would also do great as an only dog. If you want to meet me, please know that I will be shy and perhaps a bit afraid. I am not used to strangers but I am sure if you love me and give me treats, I will grow to love you!
