My story

Meet Socrates! This pup, along with his mom (Amara) and 10 other siblings, transferred to us from the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility at 6 days of age! Socrates is a highly intelligent boy, too smart for his own good sometimes! He loves to rough and tumble with his pals and enjoy quiet time with lots of head pats. He has a high prey drive and will do best with dogs that are 40lbs and up. Socrates will thrive in a home that is experienced with large dogs. Even better if his new home has a fellow large dog that can show him the ropes! This means he does not produce enough digestive enzymes to break down and absorb his food. He is on a lifelong treatment of Pancreplus powder, added 15-20min. before each meal, to assist in breaking down his food for easier nutritional absorption.   Additional Note: First two photos taken at 1 year of age.
