My story

Meet Tom & JerryThese little balls of fluff are very bonded. THEY MUST GO HOME TOGETHER. These friends were found roaming the streets of a Phoenix neighborhood. You were thinking of adopting only one dog, but look at them, how could you resist those sweet faces. Besides isn`t two greater than one!Tom and Jerry are an adorable duo that would do best in a quiet household. They would thrive with a mentor dog to help them learn that they do not have to be on alert all the time and that they should learn to relax and have fun! When they came to us both were very fearful of people and touch. It was so sad to see them this way. We have been working on confidence and leash walking. Tom has made amazing progress! Jerry has made progress, but he is still working on his confidence. They are curious but take a while to warm up to new people. Both are still very shy. but will allow you to pet them. They can walk on a leash they just need a little more work to fine-tune their skills. Patience and positive reinforcement are a must to win them over. Once you have won them over you will have 2 new best friends! You will never be lonely again! They have the cutest personalities! They LOVE to run and play! They get along with other dogs. They will need a family that has the time and patience to continue working with them. They would do best in a home with no children. They are bonded so they need to stay together.Jerry is approx. 4 years old and 15lbs, Tom is approx. 4 years old and 19lbsTom & Jerry are ready for their forever home since they are chipped, vaccinated, neutered, and vet-checked! Want to know more about Tom & Jerry, meet them, adopt them!? Please email us adopt@azhartt.org or fill out the online application at: www.azhartt.org/adoptRequirements include meeting everyone in the household, dog/cat intro, and a home check. Adoption applications are approved on best-fit bases.NOTE: Tom and Jerry are NOT at our shelter. If you would like to meet them, please fill out the application so we can schedule an appointment. We will require a few visits before any adoption is final. This will make the transition from the foster house easier.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tom, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
