My story

Hi, I’m Sven!About me: I`m a bit of a different guy....it`s taken my fosters a few months to be able to get to know me, I`m pretty nervous with anything new. But no matter how scared I`ve been, I`ve never bitten - I`m a runner and when I`m super scared I poop. My favorite things to do are play with my doggy friends, sit on the deck and chew on bones, and find new things to destroy. I`m getting used to being petted, and in the mornings I`m very affectionate and playful. I`m still working on the whole collar and leash thing, and I`m still too scared to leave the yard. Adults don`t worry me too much as long as they keep their distance, but I find kids scary. It takes me a few hours to get confident enough to interact with new dogs, I do a lot of barking at them, but I`m getting braver all the time. I wrestle & play `tag` with the big puppy that lives here, am respectful of the old dogs, and gentle with the small dogs. When I`m not playing, I nap in a corner behind a chair or under the table where I feel safe. My humans are working on giving me all the experiences and building blocks I require to become a confident dog and I`m looking forward to being part of a family that can continue gentle guidance as I grow.Likes: Playing, exploring, treats & a quiet place to nap.Dislikes: Being alone.Special request: I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with and learn from.
