🖤ADOPT BETY🖤 F | 5Y | 21.9 KG | Bully Mix | Spayed | UTD on shots | Housebroken | Crate Trained | Good with dogs, cats and kids | Hard of hearing | Medical Needs Everyone loved the amazing Betty White - and this golden girl is just as loveable! Who doesn't love bully mixes and all their unique issues; Bety White was born with front leg abnormalities, mostly affecting her left one. The valgus deformity affects both her elbow and her wrist causing some arthritis to form even at the young age of 5! Prior to her coming to Canada she had to have her right hip repaired which makes her also prone to having arthritis build up in those joints. Since she is such a ball of energy and has a wiggle-bum that doesn't stop moving we wanted to be proactive with allowing her to be comfortable and pain free. Oh....and she is also hard of hearing. SO what does her care look like?? You actually might be surprised as it's not much different than a typical dog. Bety White gets 2-3 walks a day and has backyard time. Unfortunately the walks can't be super long because her joints just won't allow it, but this is why we have her on Glucosamine and Gabapentin which allows her to explore the world a little bit more occasionally - great news is she is GOLDEN on leash! She hangs out calmly at your side and simply prefers space from other dogs when out on her adventures. As mentioned above Bety White has been put on Glucosamine and Gabapentin to keep her joints happy and it's working which means these medications are things she would stay on for life! Due to her hard of hearing, it is recommended to keep her on leash outside so you are able to communicate with her (or train her with a long line/an e-collar with the help of a trainer). Bety is also not a sunbathing gal due to skin sensitivities and lucky for you would gladly take her walks before and after your work day. Otherwise, she's your typical bully-breed!!
