She's the ultimate "velcro dog", happiest when she's right beside you, whether she's snoozing at your feet or tossing a toy your way (yes, she will throw her Kong at you for attention)! Maeve is always excited to meet new people and has had nearly 100% positive experiences with everyone she’s encountered. She may strike an alert pose when someone new enters her space, but that quickly turns into tail wags and hopeful sniffing. She thrives with structure and gentle introductions, and once you're in her circle, expect plenty of kisses and cuddles! Maeve is house-trained, quiet inside, and enjoys a steady rhythm of walks, training, naps, and play. She loves short walks, tug-of-war, and showing off her toys, especially if there’s someone to chase her around a little. She’s also a fast learner who’s eager to please, especially if treats are involved (she’s currently doing great with hand-feeding during training). Maeve gets a little excited when she sees other dogs on walks, so she appreciates having her space respected and meeting new friends with proper introductions. With a calm, well-mannered dog and a regular structure, she could do well in a home with another dog. Maeve has met kids and loves them! She would do great with human siblings. Maeve is also currently living with a dog and cat, and is doing wonderfully. She would do well in a home with dog or cat siblings, as long as proper introductions are made. Maeve is looking for a home where she can be someone’s loyal sidekick – where her sweet nature, playful spirit, and cuddle monster heart can shine.
