Whether he’s doing zoomies in the backyard, snuggling up on the couch, or proudly showing off his tug skills, Sherman brings a mix of goofiness and love to everything he does.Since settling into foster, we’ve learned so much about this special guy. He’s completely housebroken, crate trained, and an expert cuddler. He’ll curl up next to you any time of day and has been a huge comfort to his foster while she’s been recovering from illness. He’s also formed a sweet bond with the man in the home, proving that once Sherman calls you a friend, you’re a friend for life.Sherman has done well meeting familiar faces in the home and continues to build confidence. He still needs slow introductions to strangers and would do best in a calm, adult-only home where he can take his time settling in. He’s enjoyed playtime with other dogs, but when it comes to meals and toys, he prefers to keep those to himself—and we respect that!He’s a smart, responsive boy, especially when he’s feeling overstimulated. One of his favorite cues is “get your toy,” which helps him redirect excitement by grabbing a toy to hold while you pet him. He absolutely loves to chew, shred, and destroy toys, so his forever home should be well-stocked with things he’s allowed to tear apart. He also enjoys pup cups, car rides, and yes—he happily tolerates being dressed up.Sherman is sweet, silly, and endlessly loyal. He’s looking for a home that understands his quirks, appreciates his charm, and has a cozy spot for him to curl up. Come meet him and see if this one-of-a-kind guy is the missing piece in your life!
