My story

Name: Hobart Nicknames: Hobie. Gizmo. Breed: Pug Age: ~ 2 Years Weight: 21 lbs. Before OMD: Found as a stray, did his mandatory hold at the city shelter and then joined our rescue fam. Descriptors: Happy. Silly. Affectionate. Playful. Fun. Spaz. Introvert or Extrovert: Extrovert. Every day is a good day, and he wants to make sure the world knows it. Energy Level: Varies from all-over-the-place, bouncy, hyper to cuddled up on foster mom's lap. One thing's for sure...he's no couch potato. Daily exercise and play is a must. Fun fact: He does kiss on a first date, and he does kiss and tell. A pure Casa-Pug-Nova! Helpful Assists: He'll gladly pick up any piece of food off the floor..or table.. for you. If you are a crumb (or resemble a crumb in any shape or form) within reach, he WILL find you. He was most likely the prototype for the roomba in a former life. What he loves most: Omg, omg, omg....people!? Food!? Toys!? Other dogs!? Car rides! Adventures of all kinds! So many great things. What we love most: His happy spirit. His perfected head tilt. When he gleefully picks up his toys and brings them to you. What makes us laugh: When he excitedly runs back and forth on the couch, rolling around, and pops up and kicks everything off of it. When it's meal time (or when he thinks it should be meal time #Puglife), he gets up on his hind legs and dances circles all the way to his bowl. He loves walking around on his back legs, and has also been known to stand up on his legs and look around at the scenery out the window across the room. Working on: Four on the floor when meeting new people. Pulling on leash. Kids: Yes, sturdy kids who will not be overwhelmed by his exuberance. Dogs: Big yes! He will thrive with the company of another playful, tolerant pup. Cats: Yes, dog savvy cats are totally fine. Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Hobart is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states.
