My story

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mia. I am an older lady, about 10 years old and ready to patiently find my forever home. I need a home that understands I am a bit of a special lady. I used to be a very loved outdoor shop cat before I came to the Peterborough Humane Society because I was found with a distinct head tilt and I was walking in circles one direction. After thorough assessment, it was decided I have what is called, Classic Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome. This means that I am a bit uncoordinated sometimes and I have a head tilt sometimes. With this neurologic assessment it was decided that it was not safe for me to return to being an outdoor shop cat and instead to find my forever indoor home. With this specialty about me, I will need a forever home that does not have stairs as I can not maneuver them and could hurt myself. I would also benefit hugely from a quiet home and one that understands that I am an independent lady that will come for affection on my own terms. I would also appreciate a house with no other animals, maybe another older cat like myself who just wants to lounge and soak in the sun.If you think I am fit for your home, please fill out an application to come and meet me.I promise to steal your heart with my cute little old lady face. Primary Color: Muted Calico Weight: 4.15 Age: 10yrs 2mths 3wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
