My story

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. MANTIS and her 8 siblings (STAR-LORD, BLACK WIDOW, and her 6 pregnant sisters ) and her mom KIKI were all living in a garage in Moreno Valley, Ca. They were all named after SUPER HEREOS. It seemed fitting since they were all basically surviving and being fed scrapes, fighting other cats and dogs. They were living off a dangereous street where people were actually poisoning the cats too. The renter of the house is KIKI's mom. Apparently, KIKI had her first litter and that's where the 9 cats came from. Now to our surprise (or the lady lied) they had never had kittens before. We intitally were called to save 2 pregnant cats. Well that resue turned into 9 cats. And 6 of the 9 were pregnant, MANTIS was one that was not pregnant. These poor guys were so skinny, dirty and scatred. And when MANTIS came to our rescue, we discovered she was very social. MANTIS is very laid back. When the wet food is being distrubutes...she is talkative and excited! She "makes muffins" with her feet to find perfect spot. She has found toys and likes to play. She loves ear and belly rubs. MANTIS is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / DILUTED CALICO - TORBIE MIX. She is about 10 months old and is good with cats. She is non-reactive to dogs. She has never been around children. MANTIS is currently at PETSMART in Murrietta, Ca off Madison Avenue. JUNE 2021: With all the needed social distancing...we are still doing adoptions. We can do meet and greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at any PETSMART. But steps 1. thru 4. of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done first. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to do meet and greets...not PETSMART employees. Gas donations always appreciated! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Application By Email 2. Submit Application 3. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 4. Will be notified of Approved Application 5. Meet and Greet with Kitty 6. Sign Adoption Contract 7. Pay Adoption Fee 8. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 9. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please do not email us asking if the cat is still available. Please email us requesting an application...if you're interested in adopting or scheduling a meet and greet. Please note that we are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient. We are an all VOLUNTEER rescue, meaning we are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescues. So we do not do DISCOUNTS. MANTIS is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay RABIES FVRCP shots FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal dewormer Stronghold flea control Microchip If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby!
