My story

Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our pups once they have been adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org Howdy, y'all!! You probably best know my name, Pee-Wee, from the hilarious hit series of the 80's, Pee-wees Playhouse! Pee-wee was commonly portrayed as a fun-loving ,childlike character with quirky facial expressions. "I'm the luckiest boy in the world". Enough trivia of the 90's; now, about me! I am a 3 month old Black Mouth Cur hybrid......but, I don't run on petrol and electric, I run on hugs, kisses, and treats!! My coat is shiny, extremely short (low shedding!!), with stunning black points and a black mask. My beautiful, brown eyes are intelligent and sparkle with joy of life. I am also super smart. I currently weigh in at a handsome 8 pounds; size wise, I was the Pee-Wee of my litter! Most likely, I will be a fully growed doggie of 30 - 35 pounds. The perfect size for keeping up with you on a moderate hike and then snuggling later on a couch in front of the fire. FAVORITE THING I LOVE walks, playing with toys, snuggling on laps, and H2O!!! I love playing with other doggies and get along great with them all...large and small. When Foster Mum's snippy Chihuahuas give me troubles, I just ignore them and go about my bidnizz!! I am too busy enjoying the day to allow them to interfere with my Zen!! Did I mention I LOVE H2O? When we go to the river, I splash and go running through the wet stuff with glee!! We all go for a 1 mile off leash walk everyday with Foster Mum around the ranch. There are some ginormous creatures called "Horse:" on the ranch; I don't pay them no nevermind and leave them be!! Plenty of room for all of us!! I do what Foster Mum calls a "check in" with her every little bit; I will be running and playing with my sibs, but will come back to Foster Mum and touch her hand or sit on her foot just to make sure she is doing OK. LEAST FAVORITE THING I am a happy little guy and think that my life is pretty great right now. As the original Pee-Wee once said, " "I'm the luckiest boy in the world". If I had to pick one "least favorite" thing, I really don't like being left outside and being cold. Foster Mum rescued me from being kept outside with my Mama Dog the day that a huge blizzard hit Texas. She took me and my litter mates to a veterinarian to insure that we stayed warm and safe during the horrible freeze and snow. We spent a week at the vet. When the storm was over and power was restored, we all moved to Foster Mum's ranch. PEE WEE HERMAN'S WORD OF THE DAY!!! Adopt. Don't Shop!!! There is lots of little doggies like me that didn't get taken in during the freeze and perished outside. Please adopt a spayed/neutered rescue pup today and help decrease the over population of unwanted puppies in the South Texas area. YOU can make a difference.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pee Wee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
