My story

This little girl is finally ready for her forever home! We first found her, just 7 months old, at animal services, completely shut down and covered in mange. Slowly but surely she has healed both in her health and in her heart. She went from being too scared to approach us to a happy, playful little girl who prances and trumpets when she sees us. We really don’t know what she is, as she is a dainty 20lbs. But Fi has a beautiful brindle coat and golden eyes. She is still timid with strangers but that’s to be expected. She is mostly house trained but if you don’t keep a close eye on her she might sneak upstairs and leave you a present. She uses the dog door and sleeps in bed with her foster mom and dad at night. Fi is good with other dogs and very playful. She is about a year old and won’t get any bigger. Since she is timid, she would do best in a home with older kids. Fiona isn’t your typical family dog if you are looking for a dog to play fetch with the kids and take to sporting events. She is always going to be timid and needs a quieter home with another dog to show her the ropes. Are you the special family who will finally give this baby her forever home? One by One Pet Rescue is a Flower Mound based 501c3 non profit rescue. Fiona requires a house with a fenced yard (no apartments, please) where she will be an inside dog and not left alone for long periods during the work week. Adoption fee $200

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fiona, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
