My story

Sweet little girl Bella is 4 years old and fostering in Lincoln Nebraska. She is active, loves to RUN in the fenced backyard, and loves being outside! Loves walks! She is a bit timid, but once she gains your trust, she enjoys sitting with her person in the recliner. She welcomes many kisses on the top of her head. She has LOTS of personality, and more to come out as she continues to settle in. She is playful and likes stuffed, squeaky, toys. She has very GOOD potty habits going outdoors to do her business. Mealtime is welcome! She eats her two meals a day very well, and of course, likes little milk bone treats. She is attached to her Iggy friends in the foster home, and loves to snuggle with them. She sleeps with us in bed and sleeps all night very quietly. Only once has she had to go OUT in the middle of the night. She does like to bark at the neighbors and their dogs, but I think that could be corrected when she feels more at home. She is crate trained, and eats in her crate. She is only crated when I leave the home for short periods. Tell her to to get into her house…and she is there in a flash! THIS foster mom finds her to be a total delight to live with! She will be MOST happy with one or more dogs her size, who aren’t bossy or overly playful and that do not chase her to initiate play. That does scare her quite a bit. A fenced yard is a must for her safety and exercise needs. Bella has been spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations, HW negative and on HW preventative and just had a dental cleaning where she did not have to lose any teeth. WE RESPOND TO ALL INQUIRIES. We do require an adoption donation fee to help us cover the cost of vetting while they are in our care. This fee varies depending on their age. Our applicaton process consists of a completed application, vet and two personal reference checks and home visit. We do require that your resident pets be spayed or neutered and have necessary veterinary care provided as well as wellness visits. Our dogs are available for adoption in Nebraska and Iowa and will be considered for adoption to surrounding states. We DO NOT transport or ship dogs. You would be responsible for picking up from foster home. If you are in a state other than NE or IA, you will need to work with your state's IGCA representative first in order to get your application processed and approved before being considered.
