Delilah

My story

  Delilah is a Black Lab mix, 12 1/2 years old (DOB: 11/2011), given to us by her owner who was moving into a home without a yard.  She wanted Delilah to have a new home where she could exercise and play. She has a short haired coat, gentle eyes and a ready ‘smile’.  She is a sweet girl, who loves to cuddle and get attention.  Delilah is great with people and will be your best friend/loyal companion. She loves to go for walks, play in pools and her favorite treat just might be peanut butter!  Delilah tends to be bossy/dominant with other female dogs. It's difficult to break them up, if they happen to get into a scuffle. She may be ok with older male dogs, or as an only dog in your household. Probably best to go to a home with older children as well.  Delilah was apparently housetrained but we do recommend supervision in a new home, possibly crating her at night and when she is home alone in the day until she can be taught the house rules.  If you are interested in Delilah, please call the Amarillo SPCA at 806-622-0555 or visit the shelter at 11901 S.
