My story

Date of Birth: July 16, 2025 Karen is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations in the WATERLOO REGION. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU’RE APPROVED TO ADOPT, YOU’LL NEED TO PICK THEM UP FROM THE STORE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF BEING APPROVED. Karen – The Sweet & Gentle Mama Meet Karen, a sweet young mama with a gentle heart and a soft, loving personality. She can be a little cautious when she first meets new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet side truly begins to shine. Karen loves receiving pets and attention from her hoomans and enjoys simply being close to the people she trusts. She’s the kind of girl who likes having her humans nearby, keeping a gentle eye on everything that’s happening around her. Karen does have one important request—she prefers to keep all four paws firmly on the ground! While she enjoys affection and pets, being picked up isn’t really her favourite thing. She’s much happier receiving her cuddles on her own terms. She’s social and enjoys spending time with her people, but she’s also independent and perfectly content entertaining herself with some solo playtime and exploring her surroundings. She would be best suited with adults and older children. As a mama, Karen has done an amazing job raising her little whirlwind, Zebra, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled. She deserves a loving home where she can relax, feel safe, and be pampered and adored for the wonderful girl she is. Karen may need a little time, patience, and understanding as she gets to know her new family, but once she trusts you, you’ll discover what a sweet and affectionate companion she can be. Give this gentle mama the chance to settle in at her own pace, and you may just find yourself with a lovely little shadow who is happy to be by your side. Karen is ready for her next chapter—a cozy home, loving humans, and all the pets she could wish for!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Karen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
