My story

DOB 30-Jun-2024 Angelina Ballerina is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved Angelina is a wonderfully self-assured, affectionate and playful cat. She is beautifully balanced: confident without being demanding, affectionate without being clingy, and playful while still knowing how to settle down and relax. Angelina often initiates affection herself. She’ll rub against her people, offer head-butts, follow them around and chat along the way. Her purr is so incredibly quiet that you may not hear it at all—you sometimes have to gently put your fingers against her throat to feel the tiny vibration and discover that she’s purring away. She enjoys a good, confident petting and absolutely loves being brushed. When she gets particularly happy or excited, the base of her tail does an unmistakable little quiver. Angelina is also extraordinarily playful. She loves to play fetch, frequently carries toys around in her mouth while meowing, and particularly enjoys toys she can chase, wrestle and gnaw. She has been a wonderfully involved mother to her five kittens and can often be found right in the middle of their games. With new people, Angelina appreciates a polite introduction. Rather than reaching directly toward her, crouch down, offer a hand and let her make the first move. She may come forward for a sniff, head-butt and affectionate walk-through, or she may decide she’d rather take a little more time. She prefers keeping her paws on the ground but has become increasingly comfortable being picked up as trust develops. After doing a wonderful job raising her kittens, Angelina is ready for the part of her life that’s just about Angelina: toys to chase, games of fetch, good brushing sessions, conversations with her people and a home where this funny, confident and affectionate girl can be the centre of someone’s attention. .
