My story

**HARPER** Age 9mos Mesa AZ. Meet Harper: Professional Rock Thief, Professional Cuddle Bug, and Part-Time Chaos Coordinator Harper made her grand entrance on December 14, 2025, as the firstborn of Lucy and Milo. She’s a red, non-papered purebred Golden Retriever who fully embraces every golden stereotype… plus a few bonus features. This girl lives for fetch and will happily bark at you until the game begins (or until her favorite toy is once again within reach). Rubber toys are her preferred victims because they actually stand a chance of surviving. Fluffy toys? They enjoy a brief, dramatic existence before her natural hunting instincts turn them into confetti. Harper is an excellent dog roommate. She gets along great with other dogs and treats her crate like a five-star suite—especially at bedtime or when her humans are away. It’s her official safe space. Soft dog beds, human beds, and furniture are also acceptable lounging options. Personal space, however, is a foreign concept. If she’s near you, she will be on you. Full-body contact is non-negotiable. She has free access to the yard via dog door and is mostly recovered from her dirt-digging phase (we say “mostly” with cautious optimism). Outside time is also when she practices her signature move: proudly collecting rocks from the yard and delivering them indoors—preferably during human dinner, when no one is watching. She’s very polite about potty breaks and takes care of business outside without drama. A few honest notes: Thunderstorms make her a little shaky, so she seeks human contact for comfort. She’s leash-trained and enjoys walks, though sudden outdoor noises can make her nervous. Car rides are a favorite (even the vet ones). Like most Goldens, she needs daily mental and physical stimulation and is highly food-motivated. Ice cubes are elite-tier treats—if the ice maker so much as thinks about running, she will be sprinting to the fridge. Harper is currently unaltered (as is often recommended for the breed until after the first heat). She comes with a large crate and her current puppy food. She already knows “sit,” but would benefit from some basic training to fully unlock her potential as the ultimate velcro companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, slightly ridiculous Golden who will steal your rocks, your bed, and your heart (in that order), Harper is ready for her forever home.
