QUICK FACTS Name: Kancho Age: About 4 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Poodle Color: Black Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from a breeding facility, where much of my life had been centered around producing puppies rather than simply being a companion. Thankfully, I was rescued and given the opportunity to leave that life behind and experience safety, kindness, and proper care. Now, I’m looking forward to a fresh start and finding a loving forever family to share my next chapter with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Kancho! I’m a gentle, remarkably calm boy with long, elegant legs that make me look a little like a model. I also have beautiful, sparkling eyes, although there’s something quietly wistful about them that really stayed with my rescuers during my profile session. People are where my heart seems most comfortable. I genuinely enjoy gentle human touch and will look into your eyes while quietly soaking up the affection. I’m not an overly busy or demanding dog—in fact, I’m surprisingly composed and mellow. I am happiest simply sharing peaceful moments with someone who makes me feel cared for. What stands out most about me isn’t a silly trick or a larger-than-life personality. It’s the quiet way I connect with people—the eye contact, the way I relax into a caring hand, and the sense that I’m simply grateful for kindness. I’d love a peaceful family who appreciates a gentle companion. Give me a warm home, patient guidance, and plenty of those quiet moments of affection I enjoy so much, and I’ll finally have the chance to trade those wistful eyes for the contentment of a dog who knows he’s home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m happy to approach both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted—even with someone I’ve just met, I may happily roll over and show my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally don’t show much interest in interacting beyond a friendly greeting. I’m not particularly interested in playing with other dogs and tend to be content doing my own thing around them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m currently working on my leash skills, and with continued practice and consistent guidance, I can become more comfortable and confident on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
