QUICK FACTS Name: Sandy Age: About 10 Months Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Brown and White Weight: 8kg / 17.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I spent my early puppyhood living in a raised wire cage at a dog farm, without the comfort and care a young pup needs. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to experience kindness, security, and a world beyond that cage. Now, I’m ready to grow, explore, and begin a brighter new chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Sandy! I’m a young, endlessly curious pup who seems to wake up every morning convinced there are simply not enough hours in the day to investigate everything! I’m sweet, people-friendly, and incredibly lovable, and I also have enthusiasm in abundance. When I’m excited, I have a signature move: bounce, bounce, bounce! Even before sitting down, my excitement sometimes gets there first, so you may see a few enthusiastic hops before my bottom finally reaches the ground. I’m wonderfully affectionate and social with people. I have a gentle nature, I connect easily with humans, and my happy smile is one of my greatest charms! I’m also pretty clear about expressing what I want and how I feel, so my family won’t have to spend too much time wondering what’s going on in my head! That athletic side is also exactly what could make me such a fantastic companion for the right person. If you enjoy hiking, long walks, outdoor adventures, training, and staying active with your dog, I’d be thrilled to participate. I’m looking for a family who wants me to be exactly who I am! Curious, playful, and enthusiastic—that sparkle is a big part of what makes me so lovable. I need someone who can teach me when it’s time to bounce and when it’s time to settle, while giving me enough adventure that both sides of me have room to grow. If you’re searching for a cheerful little athlete with a beautiful smile and enough enthusiasm to turn an ordinary hike into the best day ever, I might be exactly the adventure buddy you’ve been waiting for!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m happy to approach both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted, even by someone I’ve just met. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m very friendly and enthusiastic with other dogs, and I’m eager to approach both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level – I need plenty of outdoor activity and exercise to help me feel fulfilled and ready to relax. Once I’ve had a good opportunity to burn off my energy, I’m able to settle down and rest comfortably. I may pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and respond to their guidance on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know. I may whine when I’m in a kennel, but with a consistent routine and continued positive kennel training, I can gradually become more comfortable settling on my own. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I absolutely love having opportunities to move, explore, and burn off energy, and I’m still very much a puppy learning how to balance excitement with self-control.
