My story

Professional belly-rub enthusiast. Adventure buddy. Tiny dog with a great big personality. Meet JB, a confident and spunky 6-year-old pug who is ready to become someone’s loyal sidekick. She came from a family who loved her deeply but could no longer give her the time and companionship she deserved. JB has handled this major change like a champ and is already showing everyone what a smart, affectionate girl she is. JB loves having a routine. Her perfect day begins with breakfast and a morning walk, followed by plenty of time relaxing on the couch and supervising whatever her people are doing. She enjoys another walk in the afternoon, exploring the backyard and settling beside her person for belly rubs. She is playful and energetic when it is time for fun, but she also knows how to relax at home. This well-trained girl is potty trained and spins in circles when she needs to go outside. She is also kennel trained, sleeps through the night in her kennel and has done well when left alone for four to five hours. JB walks beautifully on a leash and loves getting out to explore. JB gets along with other dogs, although she may need a little time to develop a playful relationship with a new canine companion. Her experience with cats is unknown. She can be cautious when someone approaches her too quickly, so new friends should allow her to warm up at her own pace—treats are an excellent shortcut to her heart! Once she trusts you, she will curl up beside you and happily roll over for belly rubs. Her ideal family will be active enough to include her in walks and outings while maintaining the dependable routine she already knows. A home with a securely fenced yard would give her space to explore and burn off her bursts of energy. Because she is small, quick and appreciates respectful handling, a home with older, dog-savvy children would be the best fit. JB is looking for someone who wants the best of both worlds: a companion who is ready for an adventure but equally happy to lounge beside you afterward. Continue giving her structure, stimulation and plenty of love, and this clever little sweetheart will make a wonderful addition to your family.
