QUICK FACTS Name: Beck’s Age: 10 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Corgi Mix Color: White Weight:  11kg / 24.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. With limited time and an uncertain future ahead of me, I desperately needed someone to give me a second chance. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and brought me to safety. Those uncertain days are behind me now. I’ve been given another chance at life, and I’m ready to make the most of it. All I’m missing is a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and make sure I never have to wonder where I belong again.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Volunteers and staff are always complimenting me on my handsome looks and especially my beautiful smile! But there’s much more to me than my good looks. I’m a calm, steady, and gentle boy who loves receiving affection and pets, even from people I’ve just met. I already know how to sit and wait, showing everyone what a patient and clever boy I am. My best friend Jump and I were rescued together. When rescuers came for Jump, they saw me too and simply couldn’t leave me behind. When I first arrived at the care facility, I was completely overwhelmed. I was so scared that I froze inside my kennel and couldn’t bring myself to come out for several minutes. The volunteers and staff gently encouraged me forward, and even though I was frightened, I trusted their guidance and followed along without resisting. Then something beautiful happened. As soon as I realized I was finally somewhere safe, everything changed. My tail started wagging, and I began greeting everyone with kisses and happiness. It didn’t take long for my sweet, affectionate personality to come shining through. Jump may be my best friend, but I get along wonderfully with my other dog friends too. I’m a handsome boy with a gentle heart, a calm temperament, and so much love to give. After everything I’ve been through, I’m ready to bring that beautiful smile into a forever home of my own.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: Despite spending a long time at the city pound, I haven’t lost my trust in people. I’m a friendly and affectionate boy who happily greets new people and enjoys receiving plenty of pets and attention. Once I know you’re there to be my friend, I’m happy to stay close and soak up all the affection you have to give. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up and held. After everything I’ve been through, my ability to remain so trusting and loving is just another part of what makes me such a special boy. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with my dog friends and enjoy spending time with them! I tend to get along best with dogs around my size who have a similar energy level and respect my space. With proper introductions and a compatible personality match, I’d be happy to share my forever home with a canine sibling and enjoy having a friend by my side. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I’m generally a quiet boy, although I may occasionally bark when I’m looking for attention or when I hear or notice something unusual. The good news is that I settle down quickly with a little reassurance and redirection. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. I may do a little marking when I first enter a new environment, but this should improve as I become familiar with my surroundings and settle into a consistent routine.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES After spending such a long time living in a kennel at the shelter, the fur around my paws has become discoloured. But don’t worry, this is expected to improve once I’m living comfortably in a home environment. With time and proper care, I’ll be back to showing off my beautiful, bright white Jindo coat. I’m also an incredibly sweet and happy boy! As soon as I see the volunteers and staff coming to greet me, I run straight to the door with my tail wagging, excited to say hello and soak up some attention. My beautiful smile always comes out when I’m happy, and it’s hard not to smile right along with me. I’m not just handsome either. I’m a smart and patient boy who already knows how to sit and wait.
