QUICK FACTS Name: Kozel Age: 10 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Corgi Mix Color: Brown with Black Muzzle Weight: 10 kg / 22 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. With limited time and an uncertain future ahead of me, I desperately needed someone to give me a second chance. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and brought me to safety. Those frightening days are behind me now, and I’m ready to begin a brand new chapter. Despite everything I’ve been through, I still have so much love, happiness, and trust to give. All I’m missing now is a forever family who will cherish me and show me that I’ll never have to worry about losing my home again.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY When I was rescued, I was injured, most likely after being hit by a car or struck by something. Even in that condition, there was something about my adorable little face and gentle presence that rescuers simply couldn’t walk past. They knew I deserved a second chance. Now that I’m safe, everyone gets to see that my personality shines even brighter than my cute looks! I’m incredibly affectionate with people and love being close to the volunteers and staff. I’m also friendly with my dog friends and have a calm, peaceful nature. I get along well with the other dogs at the care facility and would much rather keep the peace than get involved in any doggy drama. My short little legs may make me look small and delicate, but appearances can be deceiving! Underneath is a surprisingly sturdy, stocky boy with plenty of muscle. I actually weigh more than people expect when they first see me, which just adds to my adorable charm. I’m gentle, affectionate, social, and easygoing with both people and dogs. I’ve already overcome so much, and I still approach life with such a sweet nature. Whoever gets to call me family is going to be very lucky to have such a special boy by their side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m friendly with people and warm up very quickly! I may seem a little shy when I first enter a new environment, but once I realize I’m safe, it doesn’t take long for my affectionate personality to come shining through. Once I’m comfortable, I’ll happily follow you around, give you kisses, and soak up all the pets and attention you have to offer. I’ll even roll over to show you my belly for some extra love! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up and held. Give me just a little time to settle in, and you’ll quickly discover a sweet, affectionate boy with lots of love to give. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with my dog friends and enjoy spending time with them! I have a peaceful, easygoing nature and know when to simply walk away rather than get involved in any doggy drama. I tend to get along best with dogs around my size who have a similar energy level and respect my space. With the right match, I’m happy to share my days with a canine friend and enjoy their company. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well, making me an enjoyable little walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I’m a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. I may do a little marking when I’m adjusting to a new environment, but with a consistent routine and time to settle in, I should continue making great progress. With my calm nature and good everyday manners, I already have a wonderful foundation for transitioning into home life.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. My short legs are just part of my charm. I’m affectionate with people, friendly with my dog friends, and happiest keeping life peaceful and drama-free.
