My story

Daisy is a sweet, approximately 5-year-old pug with a history of seizures. She takes daily medication to manage them and will need an adopter committed to keeping her medication on schedule and comfortable responding should a seizure occur. Her foster has not observed any seizures while she has been in their care. Daisy is a gentle, low-key girl who enjoys walks, relaxing near her people, and receiving affection on her own terms. She may not immediately jump into your lap, but once she feels comfortable, she loves resting beside you or curling up near your feet. She warms up gradually to new people and appreciates being allowed to approach rather than being grabbed or picked up right away. She is kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and walks nicely on a leash. Daisy is still working on potty training and learning to use the doggy door. She has done well with children and other dogs and has shown no resource guarding, although she may also enjoy being the only dog in a calm home where she can soak up attention at her own pace. Her experience with cats is unknown. Daisy’s ideal adopter is patient, home-oriented, and ready to provide consistency with both her medication and potty-training routine. If you’re looking for a quiet, easygoing companion who will happily keep you company without needing to follow your every move, Daisy may be your perfect match. Once she trusts you, her quiet sweetness is something truly special.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Daisy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
