DOB June 4, 2024 Carl is a funny, easygoing cat with the perfect balance of independence and affection. He loves being around people and getting attention, but he isn’t overly clingy or constantly demanding cuddles. He’s always happy to hang out near you, get some pets, and be part of whatever is going on. His absolute favourite thing in the world is playing with a feather wand. He is an incredible jumper and will happily chase and leap after the feathers over and over again. He could honestly play forever if you let him! When he isn’t playing, Carl loves finding his favourite cozy spots around the house and settling in for a great nap. His fur is brown tabby and white. One of the sweetest things about him is that he will actually meow back when you call his name. He is also extremely gentle. He is very relaxed and easy to handle, and you can pick him up and hold him, although his short attention span soon has him ready to move on to his next adventure. Carl also loves having open space where he can run around, explore, and play. He gets little bursts of energy and is so entertaining to watch when he decides it’s time to race around the house. He has a favourite grooming comb that helps remove his shedding fur, and he absolutely loves it. Grooming him is actually something he really enjoys and is a great way to bond with him. Carl is incredibly loved in his foster home, and his foster family is hoping he will find an adopter who will give him the same love, attention, playtime, and comfort. He will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family. Carl has been diagnosed with a grade III heart murmur. A heart murmur is caused by turbulent blood flow within the heart and is a result of an underlying condition such as stress, or a structural problem within the heart. Some heart murmurs in cats can be benign, requiring no treatment, while others may require future interventions such as medication or a specialized diet. It is important to have your cat regularly monitored by a veterinarian. Heart murmurs have no direct correlation to heart disease. Some normal adult cats may have an intermittent heart murmur that shows up when their heart rate is increased due to stress.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Carl, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
