My story

this is Donna. we rescued her in VA when she was 5 mo. she was a “drug bust baby,” so she has a bit of trauma. Donna is vivacious & athletic & loaded w/ potential. her almond eyes will melt you. she is a cuddlebug & sleeps in the bed with us. she is a bit disregulated, potentially due to trauma/drug "testing" done on mama while Donna was in utero. she’s easily riled up, which can lead to her going for our other dogs. not viciously but in ways that have led to fights. she doesnt like to be left home. we cannot seem to potty train her at all. her appetite & thirst are insatiable (she eats double what our full-grown males get & is still lean). she pees & poops in the house 5-7x a day. I was recently diagnosed with a medical condition in "flare" & cannot physically give her the attention & time she deserves. Donna will thrive in a home with a loving, patient friend experienced in advanced dog training who can give her ample attention, exercise, food & love. (ps - she can jump fences)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Donna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
