My story

Hi, my name is Charlie Brown. But honestly, if you're going to name me after a Peanuts character, you really should have gone with Pig Pen. I mean, just look at me! I have worked hard to perfect my rugged, outdoorsy appearance, and I feel like it deserves the proper recognition. Apparently, I overheard somebody saying that I "need a bath." A bath? Really? I don't think so. In fact, if anyone tries that nonsense, I may leave such an impressive ring around the bathtub that they'll never suggest it again! Why wash away all this character? Here's what really confuses me: I heard there are fancy places where people actually pay good money for mud baths. They travel to spas, soak in mud, and call it relaxation. That's crazy! Why spend all that money when you can simply adopt me? I'll gladly teach you the secret to the perfect mud bath absolutely free. Our deluxe spa package only requires three simple ingredients: a garden hose, a tub, and some dirt. Before you know it, we'll have our own backyard resort, and you'll wonder why anyone ever paid for the fancy version. Now, beneath all this dirt and charm, I'm actually a pretty nice guy. Since I was picked up as a stray in Yuma, nobody knows much about my past. Maybe I was a world-famous mud wrestling champion. Maybe I was an explorer searching for ancient treasures. Maybe I was simply conducting important scientific research on the relationship between dogs and puddles. The truth is, your guess is as good as mine. What I do know is that I'm currently staying at Central Arizona Animal Rescue while I wait for my forever family to find me. The nice folks here have taken good care of me and helped me get ready for my next adventure. I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, and microchipped. In other words, all the important stuff has already been taken care of. All that's missing is a family to call my own. I dream about having a home where I can be part of the action. A place where I can greet you when you come through the door, keep you company on your daily adventures, and maybe supervise your landscaping projects. After all, someone has to make sure those dirt piles are up to professional standards. I'm looking for people who can appreciate a dog with a good sense of humor, a big personality, and a little bit of extra earth-tone decoration. And yes, if you really insist on it, I suppose I can tolerate a bath before I get into your car for the ride home. I want to make a good first impression, after all. But let's be realistic—once we're home together, there's no guarantee I won't rediscover my natural look. Some artists work with paint, some work with clay, and I prefer mud. We all have our talents. If you're looking for a perfect, spotless dog who treats puddles like they're radioactive, I'm probably not your guy. But if you're looking for a lovable companion who will make you laugh, keep life interesting, and remind you not to take things too seriously, then I might be exactly who you've been searching for. So what do you say? Ready to meet the dog who can turn an ordinary backyard into a world-class mud spa? Just e-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment to meet me. I'm Charlie Brown—future best friend, mud bath instructor, and professional dirt enthusiast. I can't wait to meet you!   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
