My story

"Savers Project" is WEACT's long-term rescue project, dedicated to saving dogs facing euthanasia in city shelters and taking full responsibility for them until they find a new family. After completing 3 other rescues in Jeju, WEACT had saved a total of 18 lives. But just 3 days after returning, they headed back to Jeju again. This time to rescue dogs at risk of euthanasia in a city shelter. At Jeju City Shelter, which has the highest euthanasia rate in the country, WEACT rescued a total of 5 dogs who were on the euthanasia list, one of which was Mooping. Overall, Mooping is a sweetheart who loves people and is ready to show his affection. Because he is an energetic boy, he is looking for a family who can play with him both indoor and outdoors frequently. Since he gets along well with other dogs, if there is a resident dog in the house, he would do great. But, he would thrive as an only dog as well. One thing to note is that his hair gets tangled easily, so frequent grooming will be needed and trimming near the eyes would prevent hair from covering his eyes! Good with women: yes, Mooping is good with women Good with men: yes, Mooping is good with men Good with kids: yes, older children recommended as his interactions with kids has been limited Good with other dogs: yes, Mooping gets along well with other dogs. He knows how to play respectfully and matches the pace with his dog friends. However, when he meets new dogs for the first time, especially those bigger than himself, he might freeze or become shy. Therefore, it is important to give him plenty of space and time to adjust so he doesn't get overwhelmed. Good with cats: unknown - Mooping hasn't met a cat before House trained: in progress - prefers outdoor potty Crate trained: yes Energy level: med/high - walks at twice a day is recommended Can be handled/touched: yes, Mooping loves people and is great with touches. Even when meeting someone for the first time, Mooping wags his tail happily and greets them first. Mooping loves people so much that he will happily let them touch him anywhere! Barker: no, but Mooping may bark when he is overly excited Flight Risk: no, but it is always recommended to double leash at the beginning to be safe Food aggressive: no Current food: kibble Walks on leash: yes, Mooping does great with leash walks and doesn't seem to be bothered by outdoor noises Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in cars: in progress, Mooping gets nervous during car rides and may have accidents - this should subside with more car practice Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: preferred Needs a home with another dog: not necessarily Can live in an apartment: yes, with proper exercise Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mooping (20260809-03), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
