This adorable puppy is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves romping around the yard with her squeaky toys, chewing on sticks she finds outside, and is always excited to sample a new treat. With a lovely medium energy level, Nala balances her playful puppy moments with long naps and quiet cuddle sessions, happily curling up beside her favourite person after a day of exploring. As she settles in, her goofy, energetic personality shines through more and more, bringing plenty of smiles to those lucky enough to know her. Nala can be shy when meeting new people and needs time to build trust, but once she feels safe, she forms incredibly strong bonds and becomes a loyal little shadow, always happiest close to the people she loves.Nala currently lives with both a dog and a cat and has done wonderfully with them. After being a little unsure of the cat at first, she quickly realized they could be friends and now happily tries to invite them to play. She enjoys the company of her canine housemate as well, taking cues from them on walks and playing nicely together. Given her young age, she would likely continue to do well in a home with other dogs or cats. Nala also walks beautifully on leash, remaining calm and neutral when passing other dogs and only showing a little curiosity before happily continuing on her way. She is doing an amazing job with crate training, sleeping soundly through the night, and is making good progress with her potty training.Nala is looking for a quieter home where she can continue building confidence. While she's becoming more comfortable with everyday sights and sounds, she can still be startled by things like large trucks and is generally more comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown environment. She is especially cautious around new people, particularly men, and needs time, patience, and gentle introductions to build trust. Once she feels safe, her affectionate side truly shines, and she forms incredibly strong bonds with her people. She may bark to alert you if something seems out of place or when unfamiliar people enter the home, but settles once she realizes everything is okay. Like any puppy, she'll benefit from continued positive socialization, training, and confidence-building as she grows.
