My story

Red has been through more than most dogs ever should. After spending the first part of her life outdoors, Red entered rescue with her puppies. One of her pups passed of parvo and the other is still in search of her forever home (Little Mango- also up for adoption!), Red took such good care of her babies and now she is looking for a forever home to care for her. During her journey to finding a home, she became lost for nearly a month before she was finally found with injuries that suggested she had endured unimaginable hardship. Despite everything she's been through, Red has never lost her gentle spirit. She is the definition of a sweetheart. Red is calm, affectionate, and happiest when life is slow and peaceful. She loves lounging on the couch, soaking up the sunshine in the yard, going for an easy car ride, and, of course, stopping for a pup cup. She's not looking for adventure. She's looking for comfort, safety, and someone to love. Red gets along well with other dogs, especially those with a similar laid back personality, and she does great with cats too. She has such a kind, gentle soul that it's hard to imagine her not making friends with everyone she meets. All Red wants is a soft place to land and a family who will love her as deeply as she'll love them in return. After everything she's overcome, we think it's finally her turn to know what it feels like to be safe, cherished, and home.
