My story

Meet Skye ❤️ Approximately 4 years old and 9 pounds Skye is truly as sweet as can be. She isn't an overly yappy dog, but she definitely knows how to use her sharp little voice when she has something to say. Skye forms a very strong bond with her person. Once she chooses you, she wants to be wherever you are. She'll follow you from room to room, climb onto the furniture like a little cat, and happily curl up beside you for cuddles. She is crate-trained and sleeps well in her crate at night, but if you let her, she'd much rather be snuggled up under the blankets with you. She's an energetic little girl who loves to play with her toys, explore on daily walks, and soak up all the adventures life has to offer. Skye also absolutely loves cats and would be thrilled to have a feline friend to play and lounge around with. Skye gets along with other dogs as long as they respect her space. While she could bond with the right dog, she generally prefers spending her time with her favorite person and any resident cats. Her house training is coming along really well with a consistent routine. She can comfortably hold her bladder for quite a while and has recently started trying to let her foster know when she needs to go outside. She's catching on quickly and should continue to do well with consistency. When meeting new people, Skye is a little reserved at first, but she's never aggressive. If she sees that her person is comfortable with someone new, she'll come over to check them out in her own time. Skye isn't comfortable around young children or babies, so she's looking for a home with older, respectful children or adults only where she can feel safe and secure. If you're looking for a loyal little companion who will love you with her whole heart, make you smile with her playful personality, and always want to be by your side, Skye may be the perfect fit.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Skye, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
