My story

Gooseberry is a one-year-old, 15-pound tan Chihuahua mix with a brave heart and an exciting future ahead of her. She was part of a small but mighty pack of Chihuahuas that survived together in a mountain park, relying on one another to stay safe. Now, Gooseberry is discovering that life as a beloved family dog is even better. Although she's still a little nervous in new situations, Gooseberry is making incredible progress every day. She's beginning to play fetch, has discovered that laps are pretty wonderful places to relax, and is learning that people can be trusted. Watching her confidence grow is truly rewarding. Because Gooseberry likely spent most of her young life outdoors, she'll need continued training and patience as she learns the routines of living in a home. At just one year old, she's eager to learn and has endless potential. With a loving family to guide her, there's no doubt she'll continue to blossom into a loyal, playful companion. Gooseberry's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
