My story

Available for Adoption: Meet Hansel!  Hansel's story is one of resilience, healing, and second chances. When Hansel came to us as a stray, he was in heartbreaking condition. His coat was so severely matted that he walked hunched over and struggled to move comfortably. He was emaciated, suffering from severe dental disease, and clearly in pain. We searched for his family, but no owner came forward. Our first priority was getting him comfortable with antibiotics and pain medication. It took nearly three days to carefully remove the painful mats from his coat, most of which had to be cut away by hand with scissors as he allowed. Once he was finally free, we discovered sores and wounds hidden beneath the tangled fur. With patience, love, and proper medical care, Hansel began to blossom. He underwent a dental procedure that required 22 teeth to be removed, was neutered, and received the care he desperately needed. More than $1,300 in veterinary care later, this sweet boy is healthy, happy, and finally ready to find the forever home he has always deserved. Hansel is a quiet, gentle soul with the sweetest personality. He loves everyone he meets—people, dogs, and even cats. He's learning what it means to be truly loved, discovering the comfort of a lap to cuddle in, and happily accepting all the kisses and affection he can get. He is incredibly well-mannered, easygoing, and gentle. Hansel enjoys a predictable routine, loves spending time outdoors on cool days, and is perfectly content relaxing in his cozy bed. He is crate trained, potty trained, and does not mark indoors. Outside, he takes care of his business and isn't interested in marking there either. Hansel knows several basic commands, including come, sit, and down. He definitely knows when it's dinnertime and gets adorably excited—he's become a little spoiled, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Hansel is wonderful with children, cats, and dogs, making him an excellent companion for almost any family. After everything he has endured, Hansel has never lost his loving spirit. He is truly one of a kind—a priceless little dog who deserves a lifetime of comfort, kindness, and unconditional love. Could you be the happy ending Hansel has been waiting for?  He has had 3 vet visits, is neutered, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal tests. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. Private message if interested! ##2801749##
