My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Haesol Age: Around 5 years old (Estimated to be born in 2021) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier mix Color: Brown, White Weight: 10.67kg / 23.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm where my future was uncertain. Thankfully, kind rescuers arrived just in time and gave me the second chance every dog deserves. Those difficult days are now behind me, and I'm ready to leave my past behind as I begin a brand new chapter filled with love, safety, and happiness. Now, all I'm missing is a forever family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I may be a little shy for the first few minutes when meeting someone new, but it doesn't take me long to warm up! Once I know you're a friend, my affectionate and loving personality quickly shines through. I adore people of all kinds, including men, and the volunteers have noticed that I have a special soft spot for some of my favorite caregivers. I'm a social girl who enjoys spending time with my dog friends too! I play well with them, love hanging out together, and happily share treats with my canine buddies. At my previous foster home, I initially had a small disagreement with another dog, but before long we became great friends, sleeping and spending our days together. It just goes to show that with a little time and proper introductions, I can build wonderful relationships.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but I warm up very quickly! A few gentle pets and tasty treats are the quickest way to win me over. Once I feel comfortable, I happily let myself be picked up and will even roll over to show you my belly for extra rubs. During my profile photoshoot, I soaked up all the love and happily let the volunteers and staff shower me with cuddles and belly massages. · With Dogs: I'm friendly and social with other dogs and love making new canine friends! I enjoy greeting new dogs and playing with them, and I generally get along best with dogs that are similar to my size and energy level. With proper introductions, I'm sure I'll make a wonderful companion for another friendly pup. One of my cutest personality traits is that I can get a little jealous when my favorite person is giving another dog attention. I'll happily scoot my way over to remind you that I'd love some cuddles too! The volunteers find this absolutely adorable and can't help but smile. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still learning my leash manners and can get excited, so I tend to pull toward wherever I'd like to explore. Loud or unexpected noises can startle me, so I'll appreciate a patient family who can help build my confidence while keeping me safely secured on walks. I don't guard my food around people, but I can be a little sensitive if other dogs come too close during mealtime. I currently don't show signs of separation anxiety, though because I form strong bonds with the people I love, I may need a little time to adjust when left alone in a new home. I settle calmly in my kennel and am potty trained both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With continued guidance and consistency, I'll only continue to grow into an amazing companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES If you're looking for an affectionate Terrier girl, look no further! Don't let my initial shyness fool you. With a few tasty treats and kind words, I warm up very quickly and my loving personality shines through. I get along well with my dog friends at the care facility and happily share my treats with them. Once we've built a bond, I'm incredibly trusting and cooperative. Nail trims, baths, and other grooming routines are no problem because I know I'm in good hands. I'm also still learning to become the very best walking companion, so I'll thrive with continued leash training, patience, and positive guidance. With love and consistency, I'm sure I'll blossom into an amazing family member.
