My story

Alfie is still very much a big puppy, and this friendly boy embraces it wholeheartedly! He is a goofy pup who just loves meeting new people, making friends, and taking on each day with happy enthusiasm! Alfie is full of love and playfulness. He`s still learning the ropes, so he`ll do best with a family ready to continue his training and help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. In return, you`ll get a loyal best friend who`s always up for an adventure and never short on affection.If you`re looking for an oversized pup with an even bigger heart, Alfie is ready to become your new best friend!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:81 lbs with some growing still to go!HOME TYPE:Any.CHILDREN:Yes- Children with large dog experience potentially compatible. Alfie is a large dog who can be jumpy and pushy at times. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization and basic manners. HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Alfie loves to interact with people!
