My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Vivaldi Age: 1 year and a half Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly ended up on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Luckily, I was rescued just in time and given a second chance at life. No one knows exactly how I ended up at the city pound all by myself, but those days are behind me now. Today, I'm looking ahead to brighter days and hoping to find the loving forever family I've always deserved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I have spent much of my young life in the city pound, but despite my difficult start, I have remained friendly with both people and my dog friends. I'm known for my signature smile and my adorable squinty eyes that seem to light up whenever I'm happy. The volunteers and staff often describe me as a sweet, gentle, and smart girl who is always a joy to be around. I have a bright and loving personality, and I'm sure I'll bring plenty of smiles, laughter, and happiness to my future family's everyday life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm super friendly with people and love making new friends wherever I go! I happily welcome pets, affection, and attention from everyone I meet and enjoy spending time with my humans. I also allow myself to be picked up without any fuss, making me an easygoing and affectionate companion to have by your side. · With Dogs: I'm a social girl who loves making new dog friends! I enjoy greeting other dogs and inviting them to play, and I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size to me. I get along wonderfully with all of my dog friends at the care facility, with one very funny exception named Bibi. No one is quite sure what happened between us, but our caregivers suspect she may have stolen my boyfriend because we used to get along just fine before our little disagreement! Aside from my ongoing drama with Bibi, I have done very well with all the other dogs at the care facility. With thoughtful introductions and a little time to settle in, I am expected to do great with canine friends in my future home as well. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I follow my handler's lead nicely and walk well on leash, making outings together enjoyable and easy. I have good manners around food and don't guard my meals or treats from either people or my dog friends. While I may occasionally let out a bark if I'm hoping for a little extra attention, I'm overall a quiet and easygoing girl. I also know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. For potty habits, I currently use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside. With a consistent routine and regular walks, I will likely come to prefer doing my business outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I would thrive in a loving family that can continue giving me the companionship and routine I enjoy. Since I'm such a social girl, I would likely love having people around to share my days with and may even enjoy having a friendly canine sibling, especially one around my size. While I may occasionally remind you that I would like some extra attention with a little bark, I'm overall a quiet, gentle, and easygoing companion. The volunteers and staff adore my sweet personality, signature smile, and happy squinty eyes that seem to brighten everyone's day.
