My story

Kai is being fostered in the Ottawa area Kai is a wonderfully quirky 2 year old boy with a heart of gold. He lost one of his eyes due to cancer, but he's incredibly resilient and doesn't let it slow him down. Kai is happiest in quiet environments and tends to bond most closely with women. New people and situations can be overwhelming, so he'll need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once you earn it, you'll discover a goofy, affectionate boy who loves zoomies, snuggling, and making you smile. Kai rides well in the car, gets along with dogs and dog-savvy cats, and does well with calm, respectful children. He can live in an apartment or condo with regular exercise, but his dream home would have a securely fenced backyard where he can run and play. With his one-eyed look, and his quirky smile, he reminds us a little of Uncle Buck from Ice Age, and his sweet, cautious personality is pure Scooby-Doo. Kai is an endearing oddball looking for someone who will celebrate his small victories, love him for exactly who he is, and give him the time he needs to shine.
