My story

Meet Kiara who is being fostered in the Ottawa area. Beautiful, sweet, and full of personality, Kiara is ready to find the family she's been waiting for! This lovely young girl can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but don't let that fool you. With a few tasty treats, a little patience, and some gentle encouragement, she quickly blossoms into a goofy, affectionate companion who loves being with her people. Kiara is a wonderful house dog but should be crated when left alone, as she's been known to throw herself a little "doggie party" while her humans are away! She travels well in the car and is making great progress with her leash manners, although she can still pull when she's excited to explore. She's very food motivated and will absolutely melt your heart with her adorable tippy-tappy happy dance whenever treats are involved. It's impossible not to smile watching her excitement! Kiara does well with dog-savvy cats and enjoys the company of respectful dogs after proper introductions. Once she's comfortable, she's always up for a game of zoomies with her canine friends. She also does well with respectful children of all ages. Because she's such a happy, bouncy girl, she may accidentally knock over very little ones during her excited moments, and she's known to enthusiastically "help" herself to snacks from tiny hands if given the chance!
