My story

Wren / Female / 3 months / 13 lbs / Husky Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Dog Savvy Kids / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba/ Fostered in Toronto **Follow Wren’s journey on Instagram: @benjisbuddys Meet Wren! Wren's foster describes her as "an angel," and it's easy to see why. Confident, curious, and endlessly affectionate, Wren is the kind of puppy who greets every day as a new adventure. Wren and her sister, Lottie, were found as strays and surrendered to our rescue partners in northern Manitoba. Since arriving in foster care, Wren has blossomed into a playful, social puppy who loves people, other dogs, and discovering the world around her. Whether she's wrestling with her foster brother, exploring the backyard, working on a lick mat, or proudly carrying around her favourite toy, Wren is happiest when she's busy. She's incredibly curious, loves to learn, and isn't easily fazed by new sights or sounds. When playtime winds down, she's more than happy to curl up for cuddles and hand out puppy kisses. Her signature Bambi-like hops and habit of sleeping with all four paws in the air are guaranteed to make you smile. Wren is friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets. She has done well with respectful, dog-savvy children and would thrive in an active family committed to continuing her training and socialization. A home with another playful, well-balanced dog would be ideal. Wren absolutely loves other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion to play with and learn from. Like any puppy, Wren is still learning. She is making wonderful progress with house training, already knows "sit," is learning additional commands, and walks beautifully on leash for her age. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is gradually building confidence when left alone. Her new family should be prepared to continue working on puppy manners, appropriate chewing, and independence using positive reinforcement. Wren enjoys daily walks, enrichment activities, and interactive play to keep both her body and mind busy. She rides well in the car, can likely live with a dog-savvy cat after proper introductions, and has an umbilical hernia that will continue to be monitored by the rescue. Above all, Wren is a joyful, loving puppy with a heart as big as her personality. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy and cuddle companion, Wren is ready to steal your heart. As a condition of the adoption contract, Wren’s new family will be required to: - Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit - Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required). - Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage. - Spay/neuter within 6 mos of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the spay/neuter will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Wren, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Wren’s adoption fee is $1000. To learn more about our adoption fees and the adoption process, please visit our FAQs at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/about-us#about-faqs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Wren, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
