Mad "Max" Hatter

My story

Max was acquired from the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control several months ago. This sweet 23-month-old Labrador/Beagle mix weighs 42 pounds and loves people. He enjoys meeting new friends, walks well on a leash, knows 'sit,' is crate trained, and loves playing with his dog toys. He gets along well with respectful children and friendly dogs. He is healthy, playful, affectionate, and enjoys being close to his people. He gets sad when left alone and doesn't like long car rides. Strengths: ✔️ Young adult/fixed male ✔️ Medium size (42 pounds) ✔️ Mixed breed, which often has fewer inherited health issues than some purebreds ✔️ Friendly with people and enjoys meeting new people ✔️ Good with respectful older children or young children that have been around dogs before ✔️ Good with non-aggressive dogs ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Walks nicely on a leash ✔️ Knows basic commands like "sit" ✔️ No medical problems ✔️ Already taking medication successfully for separation anxiety
