My story

🐾 Meet Mango 🐾 📍 Current Location: South Korea ❤️ Basic Information Name: Mango Age: Approximately 6–7 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Weight: 8 kg Breed: Mixed Breed Neutered: Yes 🏡 Personality Mango is a loving and devoted companion who forms a strong bond with his person. While he is friendly with people, he is truly a "velcro dog" who adores his caregiver and prefers staying close to them. He loves being petted and will happily nudge you for more attention when you stop. Although he is polite around strangers, he doesn't actively seek affection from people he doesn't know well. Once he trusts you, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. Despite everything he has been through, Haedeun remains cheerful, resilient, and full of love. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 People & Children Adults Friendly and comfortable around people. Forms especially strong bonds with his caregiver. Children Calm around children. May show curiosity and gently sniff them but generally doesn't pay much attention to them. 🐕 Dogs & 🐈 Cats With Dogs Interested in other dogs and enjoys meeting them during walks. Often wants to approach and say hello. Usually gives a quick sniff and then continues on his way. Tends to feel more comfortable around dogs of a similar size and may avoid very large dogs. With Cats Can be wary of cats. Has shown caution around cats at the veterinary clinic and while observing cats outdoors. A cat-free home would likely be the best fit for him. 🚽 Potty Habits Haedeun has paralysis in his hind legs due to a spinal injury, which affects his bladder and bowel control. Wears diapers because urinary control is limited. May urinate or defecate when excited or when pressure is placed on his abdomen. Does not require manual bladder expression. Typically has bowel movements twice a day, in the morning and evening. ⚡ Energy Level Moderate to High Energy Although Haedeun uses a wheelchair, he is an active and enthusiastic dog who loves adventures. If his wheelchair can go there, he wants to explore it! He enjoys walks, sniffing new scents, and spending time outdoors with his favorite person. 🦽 Mobility & Walks Walks confidently using his wheelchair. Loves outdoor adventures and exploring new places. Frequently checks in with his handler during walks. Shows interest in other dogs but remains easy to manage. Enjoys a good balance of activity and relaxation. 🔊 Barking & Separation Anxiety No separation anxiety. May occasionally bark when he hears unfamiliar sounds outside. Not a nuisance barker and adapts well to home life. ❤️ Affection & Handling Loves affection from his trusted person. Often asks for more pets and attention. Comfortable being handled and touched. Has no known sensitivity to being touched in specific areas. 🏠 Ideal Home No history of escape attempts. Adapts well to indoor living. Would thrive with an adopter who appreciates his affectionate nature and can accommodate his mobility needs. Looking for a family who will see beyond his wheelchair and recognize the wonderful dog he truly is. 📖 Rescue Story Mango was found shortly after being hit by a car. At the time, there was no immediate assistance available from local authorities, police, or emergency services, so his rescuer stepped in and brought him to safety. He was rushed to a 24-hour veterinary hospital, where an MRI revealed a severe spinal injury. Veterinarians determined that his spine had been damaged, leaving him with paralysis in his hind legs. To relieve his pain and give him the best possible quality of life, surgery was performed immediately. Today, Haedeun is living in a foster home where he is learning what family life is all about while continuing his rehabilitation. Despite his injury, Haedeun has never lost his bright spirit. He clearly spent time living with people before his accident and remains incredibly trusting, loving, and devoted to humans. Mango doesn't let his wheelchair define him. He is a happy, affectionate dog who is ready to share his heart with a family of his own. ❤️ Mango is looking for a forever family that will love him just as he is. ❤️🐾
