My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Hoyeon Age: About 1.5 Years Old (Born on 02/27/2025) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 11.7kg / 25lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was one of nine puppies born to a stray mom who had been safely captured and brought into care. Although my mom is no longer with us, my siblings and I were all rescued and given the chance to grow up surrounded by love and kindness. Now I'm ready to begin my own journey and can't wait to find a forever family to share a lifetime of happiness with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues Surgical amputation of the left front leg   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Hoyeon! I'm a handsome, fluffy Jindo with a gentle heart and a quiet soul. New places can feel overwhelming for me, so I need a little time to settle in before my true personality begins to shine. At first, I may be reserved while I'm adjusting, but once I feel safe and comfortable, everything changes—I become a cheerful, playful girl who loves to have fun and shower my people with affection. I may not be very interested in treats, but I love building genuine trust and connection with the people who are patient with me. I'm incredibly kind with both people and other dogs. I enjoy meeting other dogs, although I can sometimes get a little overenthusiastic when introducing myself because I'm so curious! With a little guidance and continued socialization, I'll continue to grow into the confident companion I was always meant to be. If you're willing to give me the time and patience I need to settle into a new home, you'll discover an incredibly loving, loyal, and gentle best friend who's ready to share a lifetime of happiness with you.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but I'm happy to accept treats from new friends and start building trust. I just like to take a little extra time before I'm ready for gentle pets. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet and affectionate personality shines through, and I'll even roll over to show you my belly—a special sign that I trust you completely. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends! Whether we've known each other for a long time or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm always happy to walk over, say hello, and invite them to play. I get along well with dogs of all sizes—whether they're bigger than me, about my size, or even smaller—and I enjoy their company. Even if another dog tries to provoke me, I'd much rather walk away and avoid conflict, preferring peace and friendship whenever I can. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and going on adventures. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. When I'm out on walks, I can get excited and pull on the leash if I spot somewhere I'd like to explore. With positive guidance and consistent training, I'm continuing to learn good leash manners and becoming a more enjoyable walking companion every day.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. If there's something I really want, I might let you know with a little bark—it's simply my way of communicating with my people! I'm calm and relaxed in my kennel. Car rides can be challenging for me because I get severe motion sickness, so I'll need a little extra care and planning when we travel together.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I had my left front leg amputated, but I've adapted wonderfully and don't let it slow me down. I still love going for walks, exploring, playing, and living life to the fullest.    HOYEON'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2781004##
